Mark Wood, Violinist for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, will be performing at Winnetonka High School on Tuesday, October 6 at 7:00 p.m. Mark will be performing with the Winnetonka High School Orchestras as well as the Maple Park Middle School 7th and 8th grade orchestras. He will be presenting a 2 day clinic for the students incorporating Jazz, Rock, and Improvisation techniques into the classical curriculum. Students will gain hands on experience with state-of-the-art electrified Viper Violins and Violas, and Stingray Cellos.
This will be Wood's second visit to Winnetonka and orchestras will be performing works by Vivaldi, Copland, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles and more. They will also be performing works by Heavy-Metal powerhouses Metallica and Ozzy Osbourne.
